Campaign Pitch to develop a new identity for the Frankfurter Hof Mainz. Ever since the beginning of the “Saalfastnacht” the Frankfurter Hof has belonged to Mainz as an integral part of the city DNA. It was a platform for Liberalism, Socialism, and a variety of cultural events. Since reopening in March 1991, the venue has been the centre of many events and performances, and the “go-to” venue for entertainment in Mainz. Music, Comedy, Cabaret, Party, World Culture … all take the limelight. This limelight is an integral part of the logo symbolised in the logo through the different colours enclosed in the word “HOF”. The opening at the top of the lettering plays on the openness of this location. The surrounding black space supports the typography thus focusing message. It also alludes to the strong stage presence found in the venue.
